Personal Description:
I am a professional musician based in London. I gained a double starred first in Music from Cambridge University, winning all major prizes in both academic music and performance, and then gained an MA with Distinction from the Royal Academy of Music. I have extensive performing experience as a cellist, including success in significant competitions and solo recitals at major venues, and a rapidly developing career as a conductor.
Tutoring Experience:
I have extensive experience teaching academic music (GCSE to undergradua**Contact Detail Removed**vel), music theory (all grades) and cello (all grades) as well as help with university applications. I am happy to teach online and in person.
Tutoring Approach:
I really enjoy helping students not only achieve their goals in whatever exam they may be working towards but also developing their broader understanding of music beyond the narrow confines of the syllabus and graded exams. Whether teaching theoretically or practically, I enjoy about explaining the complex inner workings of music in simple terms and locating it in its broader contexts.
