Information About Joe - Wakefield teacher
I have been playing the guitar for almost 12 years. Been in bands of various genres, playing music from Gwen Stefani to Kings of Leon, from Jimi Hendrix to Metallica. I usually play technically challenging music (shredding etc.), but have a very open mind and like to include a wide range of styles in my playing.
In conjunction with my personal guitar related pursuits, I'm currently studying classical piano.
I have the musical knowledge to give and can show you how to apply it to your song writing, improvisation/soloing and even overcoming difficult areas of cover songs.
I have a high level of technical playing ability, so if you want to learn how to shred I have the know-how to achieve better soloing standards.
I have the time and patience for any level of playing ability, from beginner to advanced, and am happy to teach all ages.
If you want to learn how to solo I can teach you the licks, techniques, scales and theory needed, in different styles, including funk, blues, indie, , rock, metal, neoclassical, flamenco.
I teach how to write music in a range of styles, which we will cover the genre's key aspects, including: the different tones of the electric guitar that best suit, the typical techniques involved, scales and rhythms. I can also teach you how to develop your own ideas.
For people who want to be able to play their favourite tunes, I also teach cover songs.
