Personal Description:

LIMITED ZOOM LESSONS AVAILABLE!
-FAST TRACK GRADE 5 MUSIC THEORY LESSONS-

I started playing the piano when I was 7, and through the years fell completely in love with it. I am currently studying and practising towards a performance diploma with ABRSM which I expect to complete in 2023 - and I want to continue all the way to Fellowship!

Aside from music, I believe a healthy body is the key to a focused mind. Other hobbies include running, badminton, climbing, painting and dog walks.

Tutoring Experience:

FAST TRACK MUSIC THEORY QUALIFIED
- Get to grade 5 theory in just a few months. Depending on your level, this can be done even quicker. The fastest I have taught did it in 5 lessons.
–––––––––––
I have taught all ages from 5 years upward and I have found with the right approach - anyone can learn.

When learning how to play the piano, you are not just learning how to play an instrument, you are learning about yourself too. It is an incredibly mindful activity in which you are rewarded with far more than just the skill of how to play the piano :D

I teach my students towards their grades with 'ABRSM' for piano and music theory. However, I will not push students towards grades if this is not the path they want to take. I have happily and successfully taught students the piano without aiming towards exams.

Tutoring Approach:

After each lesson, the student will receive lesson notes, and specific tips to combat key areas that need the most focus for that week so that they can practise efficiently.

I keep a log book to assess and monitor progress. This helps me plan each lesson to cater to the needs of each student accordingly, as well as give myself reflective feedback. As it is important to not only assess the students, but yourself as a teacher.

For the younger learners, I create little sticker charts & incorporate games/activities into my lessons. Learning is extremely important, but you must enjoy it too!

Between sessions, the student can feel free to contact me via email/**Contact Detail Removed**phone if they feel they need help with something and I will talk them through different approach to help solve the problem. Even send a little video tutorial to help with how something is meant to sound. If you choose me as your tutor, you don't just receive hourly lessons, you get support round the clock at no extra cost.
