Information About Jeremy - Bedford teacher

Personal Description:

I have over 15 years of teaching piano I am very patient and inspiring always bringing new ideas to keep any student happy and interested. I live in Bedford and teach from my own home where I have an acoustic upright piano or at the students house,and on occasion rent studio space offering a variety of study venues. I am a member of EPTA and I take part in Continue Professional Development . I have taken part in open mike nights and studied song composition at the North London Performing Arts College.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught young and old to enjoy this amazing instrument. Also in schools and continue to do so at present . I have 15 years of teaching experience under my belt

Tutoring Approach:

My personal approach is to always make the student relaxed and comfortable with the piano . I explain the anatomy of the piano taking away immediately the mystic . At first any student that comes to me will be playing in one hour, I achieve this by introducing and simplifying harmony and melody using a series of exercises.
Although I believe it is important to improvise I never neglect sight reading and this is structured into my lessons. Furthermore I offer the classical route to learning via the ABRSM exams which can also be enjoyable for the right pupil.
