Information About Jason - Rochester teacher

Personal Description:

I have been playing double bass and bass guitar in bands and theatre since the age of 18 (37 years), and have much experience as a live player all over the UK and abroad. I like to play mainly country and rock n' roll, and it is these styles of music which I am mostly familiar with, but all genres of music can be catered for.
In addition, I am able to teach electric and acoustic guitar at a beginner / basic level which will mainly be chords, technique and theory, with some lead tuition possible.
I still perform every week and therfore, weekends I am unavailable, unless a prior arrangement has been made.

Tutoring Experience:

My main teaching experience has been as a qualified health & safety trainer with a professional trainer certificate from the CIEH (Chartered Institute of Environmental Health), so I am aware of up to date training techniques.

Tutoring Approach:

I have a relaxed training technique and can offer the tutee', a range of learning techniques dependant on how they best absorb information and the way they would like to learn.
I can not offer formal music qualifications however, I can impart valuable live experience, technique, equipment advice and playing from over 30 years.
Candidates may also use video camera's / phones etc, to take home and use for reference.
