Personal Description:
I have a Cert Mus Ed from Trinity College, London.
I work as a peripatetic teacher for Surrey Arts, in addition to teaching privately.
I consider myself to be a patient, reliable teacher.
Tutoring Experience:
I have 25 years experience of teaching pupils of all ages. I prepare students for ABRSM exams, grades 1-8, for which I have excellent results.
Tutoring Approach:
Everyone is different, so I adapt my approach to each individual pupil, depending on their age, ability and goals.

From Kitty (/5): Janet is great to work with. She is very professional in her approach to the lessons. She responds quickly to emails and worked with us to find times to teach my daughter. My daughter loves lessons with Janet who is gentle but very clear and encouraging in her teaching style and makes lessons relaxed yet productive. I feel like Janet really knows what she's talking about with technique of playing the violin and is able to convey it in a simple, yet effective way in the lessons.
