Personal Description:

I am a freelance orchestral trombonist, having performed with ensembles such as the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Danish Orchestra in Copenhagen, and brass teacher based in London.
My training began at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, where I completed my undergraduate studies, and continued with a two years Masters at the Academy of Music in Copenhagen.

As a performer, I value precision, expression and collaboration, and I bring those same principles into my teaching. I enjoy helping students develop solid fundamentals while encouraging their individual musical voice. My experiences abroad have given me a broad perspective on brass playing and pedagogy, which I aim to share with each student I work with.

Tutoring Experience:

I currently teach privately and for Wandsworth Music, delivering whole-class lessons, small group sessions, and one-to-one tuition. My teaching approach is flexible and student-focused, shaped by a strong foundation in pedagogy—during my time at the Academy of Music in Copenhagen, I received a distinction for this module.

In addition to working with children and young people, I have experience teaching adults through Music in Offices, helping working professionals engage with music in a creative and accessible way.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is centred on building strong fundamentals—sound, technique, and musicality—while encouraging curiosity and independent learning. I tailor lessons to each student’s needs and goals, creating a supportive and motivating environment that promotes both progress and enjoyment.

Music is about performing and working in a team. As such, I encourage my students to practice performing through regular performance opportunities including grades. I also encourage my students to get involved with local ensembles and music opportunities.
