Personal Description:
I am an Organ Scholar in Cambridge (Robinson College) reading music. I love all music from Ellington to Elgar to Elvis. I simply wish to share what I know, and to learn more and share more and so on. This is my goal. I completed A-level music with an A*. I have been in many ensembles so if my particular pupil would like help with ensemble playing I am happy to help with that. If you have any questions, I would love to hear from you.
Tutoring Experience:
I have had pupils in Plymouth. I have also taught a little to my friends when I was at school and have been teaching in North London since November 2017. I intend to do more teaching, as much as I can possibly do to share the joy of music with as many people as I can.
Until May 2021, I will only be able to teach when I am not at university but, for these times, I am more than happy to do intensive sessions to help pupils make substantial progress.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to music tuition is essentially a positive one. On the first lesson I try to get an understanding of the pupils current level, if any, so that I know where to head over the next lessons. It is up to the pupil [or their parents/guardians] when it comes from what aspect of music they want to explore. If they are unsure I will focus primarily on our Western Classical Tradition with the occasional tantalising dip in to the cool waters of Jazz or even modern music or musical theatre. It would be appreciated, if the pupil knows that they let me know as soon before the lesson as possible.
