Personal Description:

I want to pass on my love of the piano to others and give them the tools to reach their own musical goals. I have been playing the piano for over 20 years, graduated with a BA(Hons) Humanities with Music in 2015 and completed a Level 4 Professional Diploma in Music Teaching in 2021. I also compose educational material for piano and music theory.

Tutoring Experience:

Over the years I have taught students from reception to retirement. Most of my current students started as adult beginners, where the real challenge is often not the music itself but building a learner's confidence and showing them that they can succeed if they are willing to try.

Tutoring Approach:

I accept students from age 11 and especially encourage adults who want to start or return to the piano - success in music is about focus and passion, not how old or how talented you are. My focus is on classical music but students are not limited to solely classical repertoire, my own sheet music collection includes everything from jazz to TV themes to 90s pop. Exam preparation for performance and theory is available but not compulsory.
