Personal Description:

I have been involved in Music Education for the last 20 years and currently teach privately and at state and Independent schools across the South East. I am also a freelance keyboard player and live performer.
I specialise in Classical and popular Electronic Keyboard and Rock and Pop piano giving students the opportunity to play the music they enjoy as well as coaching them to high standards of musicianship through the grades structure.

Tutoring Experience:

In 2002 I started a home and visiting tuition service for students of all ages. I've worked for Southern Counties Music Services teaching in Primary and Secondary Education.
I also ran Adult Education evening classes in Piano and Keyboard for the Berkshire LEA and worked as a teacher for Yamaha Music Schools in Sutton.
I currently work as a peripatetic teacher at Yateley Manor Prep School and Bohunt Secondary & Language College in Hampshire. I have also taught at the prestigious Woldingham School in Caterham.
I also have roster of private students of all ages in the local area. Lessons can take place either online or in the comfort of your own home at a time to suit and I am experienced in teaching a wide range students of all ages from beginner to intermediate and beyond.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to engage with my students and make the lessons enjoyable and inspiring whatever the ability levels of the student are. Progressing through the grades and reading music are important for musical development but if the student is more inclined to playing by ear and using improvisation then I am adaptable to their requirements.
The most important thing is to have fun learning and playing music.
