Personal Description:
I am an experiened working guitarist. I have been playing over 20 years. I play most styles to a high level on electric, accoustic and classical.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching guitar lessons freelance but also work p/t at Felsted school. I taught peviously at Billericay music academy, and have taught the Yamaha Encounters Course.
Have taught solo and also group tuition.
I can read Tab and also music notation.
Tutoring Approach:
whilst I feel that it is important to sight read, some student prefer tablature to notation. And may also want to learn a specific style.
I can cater for any style such as classical, folk, rock blues and jazz. But also teach the basics on guitar, chords and scales and simple tunes.
I can prepare student for examinations from rock school to Trinity.
The main ting is to keep the student motivated and having fun,
