Personal Description:
Hi, I'm Jake,
I'm a positive, upbeat and professional musician with years of experience in performing and teaching music. When it comes to learning an instrument my core belief is that it should be fun and enjoyable. The more you love playing your instrument, the more you will progress!
Tutoring Experience:
I've been a professional guitar tutor for almost ten years now. Over that time I have taught in schools, workshops and face to face in the home. I get a huge kick out of teaching and am pleased to say this has shown in my students. Over my ten years I have never had a student fail an exam and still teach students from 7 years ago!
I'm fully DBS checked and have also attended several workshops on one to one tuition.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach is friendly, fun and positive. I encourage regular practice, always working on not over doing it as the 'Little and often' method has proven to be a massive success! I push my students to follow the music that they like to listen to… This includes learning little mix on ukulele, all the way to ACDC on electric guitar!
