Personal Description:
Jacopo from Rome, Italy, graduated from the Conservatoire of Santa Cecilia in Rome where he studied with Arturo Tallini and completed a Masters Degree in Performance at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland under the guidance of Matthew McAllister and Professor Allan Neave.
During his studies, he has also performed in many masterclasses with some of the worlds most well-known guitarists. Jacopo has played in many concerts in Italy as well as abroad and won several prizes in national and international guitar competitions. Since January 2018, he has been an artist for 'Live Music Now Scotland'.
Jacopo enjoys teaching classical guitar, electric guitar and ukulele.
Tutoring Experience:
-Private Teaching in Rome since 2012
-Teacher for the 'Musichiamo' Association in Rome in 2014/2015 and 2016/2017
-Private Teaching in Glasgow since 2017
-Teacher for the Diane Mitchell School of Music and the Glasgow School of Music since January 2019 to April 2021
-Online Teaching since March 2020
-Experience in teaching students of different ages and abilities, in group and one-to-one situations.
Tutoring Approach:
Paramount, when I work, is accuracy and attention to detail, in order to maximise the results and develop young people’s potential. I believe that a teacher never stops being a student, as we can always learn from our pupils with a mutual exchange of knowledge.
For every student, I choose a different and tailored learning programme, in order to achieve the best result and satisfaction for him/her.
Lessons generally last for one hour. However, 30 or 45 minutes of lessons are accepted.
