Personal Description:
Jack is a film composer based between London and Los Angeles. He has scored a wide range of projects, including Wavelength (2025, Toffee Hammer Productions), Past Life Whispers (2023), and A Candle (2022, dir. Heart), which won ‘Best Super Short Film’ at SWIFF USA. He also composed the score for The Club of Gods (2023, dir. Hardik Parikh), awarded ‘Best Asian Film’ at the Milano Indie Movie Awards, and Pinch and Ouch (2024, dir. Nicole Kent). His work also spans animation (Celestia, 2023), documentary (Memories of a Past Life, 2024), and commercial projects for brands including Namsû. In late 2024, he collaborated with MuseScore on his piece Umoya Wesihambi — a vibrant, high-energy, animation-style miniature, which was featured on MuseScore’s official **Contact Detail Removed** and quickly gained wide engagement across the community.
As an orchestrator and copyist for Charts of London, Jack has contributed to high-profile productions such as Citadel (Season 2), Project Motor Racing, and music for Disneyland Paris. During his time as Co-President of the Royal College of Music Film Scoring Society, he interviewed Lord of the Rings composer Howard Shore and hosted discussions with other major figures including Mychael Danna, James Newton Howard, and Pinar Toprak.
In 2024, Jack was commissioned by the Speaker of the UK House of Commons to write music celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Commonwealth, conducting two performances of his Anthem in Parliament. That same year, his brass band piece Ascension won second prize in the European Brass Band Association’s Composition Competition and was premiered by the world-renowned Cory Band in Palanga, Lithuania. In 2023, his fanfare Prince Consort Calling won the Royal College of Music’s graduation fanfare competition and was performed at three ceremonies. In 2022, his choral work Ave Maria was workshopped by VOCES8 and later performed by the VOCES8 Scholars.
Jack is a frequent collaborator with brass publishers and recording artists Matonizz and Fennell Production. He has composed and arranged dozens of pieces, including original works, showstopping euphonium solos, and accessible duets. Popular within the brass community, these pieces are performed internationally by soloists, students, and small chamber groups. Alongside this, Jack’s concert music has been featured at venues and festivals including the Royal Overseas League, Lewes Music Festival, the Barbican Centre, Cuckfield Music Festival, and across several Royal College of Music chamber series and showcases.
He studied composition and composition for screen at the Royal College of Music, supported b**Contact Detail Removed**mphrey Searle Scholarship, graduating in 2024 with First Class Honours. He is also a former composer with the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, with his wider work in brass and concert music enriching the cinematic voice he brings to the screen.
