Personal Description:

Engaging, experienced trumpet & music production tutor

I am a classically and jazz-trained trumpet and keyboard player, songwriter, composer and producer with over twenty years experience of teaching in Higher Education and a successful career as an international touring and recording artist. I have written, produced and mixed numerous albums for acclaimed international artists and was musical director for Sister Sledge for 15 years and the Brooklyn Funk Essentials for over 20 years. I specialise in many forms of music including jazz, pop, funk, fusion and world music. Currently I am a Lecturer in the Music Technology department at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and have also taught at other music institutes (InHolland University, ACM & BIMM) at higher and further education level. I am passionate about music education and thoroughly enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with students and watching them progress in their studies.I offer both face to face and online tuition in my professional SSL Recording Studio.
