Information About Indira - Chelsea teacher
This is how 3 referees rated Indira:
I come from a family of musicians, have been playing the cello since the age of four and have a performing career as a soloist and chamber musician. Competition successes include winning a Gold Medal in the Vienna International Music Competiton, Making Music's 2019 Young Artist Award, the 2019 Bach Prize at the Royal College of Music, the 2018 RCM Concerto Competition performing the Elgar Cello Concerto, prize-winner in such international competitions as the Royal Overseas League Competition, Tunbridge Wells International Young Concert Artist Competition and Bromsgrove International Young Artist Platform. I have recently completed a Masters in Performance with Distinction at the Royal College of Music. As a child I studied at the Junior Royal Academy of Music and then went on to the Musikhochschule Luebeck, Germany. I love teaching and am available for teaching a range of different levels.
I have had outstanding teachers from a very young age such as Melissa Phelps, Troels Svane and Alexander Chaushian, and have participated in masterclasses with Steven Isserlis, David Geringas and Frans Helmerson. These people have inspired me to become a teacher myself. I have taught privately for a few years and in my own teaching I aim always to address the individual needs of each student.
I always combine music and technique in my lessons, providing a strong technical base for the student as well as having fun! Particularly interested in helping cellists who are auditioning for music conservatoire but I also enjoy teaching students of all levels.
