Information About Idit - Highgate teacher

Personal Description:

Idit , professional singing teacher and international opera singer, AGSM Diploma, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, founder and former artistic director of the Madrid Opera Studio. My operatic career and teaching experience spans over more than 20 years in London, Paris and Madrid.

I offer hour of private complimentary consultation, giving us the chance to assess your level and needs together. Thereafter, singing lessons are one hour in length and will take place at my home in North London

All levels and styles are welcome, and I will gladly prepare people for all the academic institutions entrance exams, competitions and auditions, acting and musical theatre school, recordings and performances, from complete beginners to professionals.
In addition I offer my students performance technique workshops and organise student concerts.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught many professional / amateur singers, dancers and actors over the last 20 years in London, Paris and Madrid, and am the founder and former artistic director of the Madrid Opera Studio. I hold an Associate Diploma in singing and teaching singing from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. I have been taught for 15 years by Vera Rozsa OBE, teacher of such singers as Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Sarah Walker, Sir Thomas Allan and Jonathan Lamalu amongst many. I have released a solo CD with Meridian Records and performed with many Opera companies and Orchestras and given recitals in the UK, Spain, France, Israel and the US.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that no matter what level and aspirations you have, you need to be taught to achieve a solid technique, the understanding of breath control and sound projection, in such a way that will meet your personal vocal and musical needs.

Therefore my aim is to provide each person who comes to me, no matter what level or aspiration he/she has, the attention and care that will allow them to develop a solid technique, understanding of breath control and sound projection, and will help them facilitate a natural connection between the voice and music making.
