Information About Ian - Lincoln teacher - (5 reviews)
This is how 2 referees rated Ian:
Ian offers a FREE first / introductory lesson!
Starting the piano in 1992, I have progressed to many instruments including guitar, violin, and singing, however piano has always been my forte (pun intended) and my passion.
I did not progress with graded playing beyond grade 7 because I decided to focus more on composing and musical ensemble, developing further my musicianship skills, and of course teaching.
I am proficient in playing grade 8 level and beyond, and intersperse music theory lessons and review with practical lessons to provide a broad experience and a graceful technique.
Hourly lessons are £20, but I also teach half-hourly for £10
As well as cash, I accept bank transfer, Paypal, and Bitcoin payments.
Having had experience as a Primary School teacher I have a wide understanding of a students requirements.
As for piano, the youngest I have taught is 6 and the eldest 68, so there really is no limit!
My students currently have a 100% pass rate for ABRSM exams and to date there have been dozens of exam entries made.
I teach a classical foundation, which can then be developed into Folk, Ragtime, Modern. I work via the ABRSM guidelines and syllabus and provide exam entries (including theory) for students wishing to take them.
