This is how 2 referees rated Ho Chuen:
This is Frederick, I am currently a PhD candidate in performance science at the Royal College of Music, London, supported by a grant from the Croucher Hong Kong Charitable Trust. I began my formal studies in music at the Hong Kong Baptist University and later on obtained my Bachelor of Music from Goldsmiths, University of London. I was awarded a Master of Science in Performance Science from the Royal College of Music, London in 2018. As a solo violinist and chamber musician, I perform regularly in London and Hong Kong.
For more than six years, I have been teaching both privately and regularly at recognisable music school, teaching students across different levels and age groups. I specialised in interactive one-to-one musical teaching, delivering the best quality of tutoring.
I aim to motivate students intrinsically with their personal interest in music, delivering musical teaching in a creative and effective approach. Aside from technical training and fundamental performing elements, music theory and musicianship are important parts in my musical tutoring, where students can obtain a more comprehensive understanding of the music. My tutoring approaches in both instrumental playing and music theory are flexible and tailored according to the strengths and weaknesses of student.
