Personal Description:
Lessons are available ONLINE.
I'm a professional opera singer and musician and have performed roles at the major venues including English National Opera, Linbury Studio-Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and Garsington Opera, as well as ‘Phantom of the Opera’ appearances.
In 2000, I was awarded a bursary to study at the Britten-Pears Foundation Aldeburgh and was a semi-finalist in the International Opera Singers Competition in New York.
My book 'Singing Tips at your Fingertips' described by Gary Lachman (The Guardian) is "the place to find the singer within". I regularly broadcast on radio and TV for BBC World News and The Paul O'Grady Show. Currently I teach singing at the International School of London.
Tutoring Experience:
As a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music with over 20 years’ professional performing experience, I have an extensive knowledge of the voice and how to maximise its potential. I'm passionate about sharing my expertise and helping you reach your singing goals.
My approach is adaptable and unique. I'm able to share a powerful set of vocal techniques to enable you to sing with joy and freedom.
If you want to learn a new skill, prepare for an exam or simply learn to sing for fun and relaxation, do get in touch.
Lessons are currently online via Zoom. You can view the excellent feedback from students on this website.
Tutoring Approach:
The ethos of my teaching is to share my expertise and experience in a relaxed and creative environment.
I'm able to offer other singing opportunities which include taking part in workshops, concerts and opera performances; in March 2017, I arranged for the UK premiere of The Juniper Tree by Philip Glass to take place in London. It was a fantastic opportunity for my students, professionals, local school children and members of the community to work together collaboratively in an exciting premiere.
