I am a professional opera singer and musician and having performed roles at the major venues including English National Opera, Linbury Studio-Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and Garsington Opera, as well as appearances in ‘Phantom of the Opera’.
I've worked closely with and premiered works by several eminent British composers including Mark-Anthony Turnage, Judith Weir, Nigel Osborne, Paul Patterson, Colin Mathews and Tansy Davies.
I was awarded a bursary to study at the Britten-Pears Foundation Aldeburgh and was a semi-finalist in the International Opera Singers Competition in New York, for which I received private sponsorship.
I'm author of 'Singing Tips at your Finger Tips' available on Amazon and I also write for Huffington Post. I currently conduct the Islington Council Choir and London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames choir.
As a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music with over 20 years’ professional performing experience, I have acquired an extensive knowledge of the voice and how to maximise its potential. I’m passionate about sharing my expertise and helping individuals reach their singing goals.
My approach is adaptable and unique, enabling me to share a powerful set of vocal techniques which is about you being free and happy.
I teach children and adults whether you're preparing for an important exam, needing some stress-relief after a hard day or simply singing for fun and relaxation.
I also run singing workshops with other established professionals from the opera houses and produce opera. Our recent success was the UK premiere of The Juniper Tree by Philip Glass.
The ethos of my teaching is to share my expertise in a fun, relaxed and creative environment. I'm also able to offer emerging professionals, local school children and members of the community opportunities to collaborate in innovative, exciting opera productions such as the recent UK premiere of The Juniper Tree by Philip Glass and Robert Moran in March 2017. I secured funding through applications, sponsorship, donations and advertising and successfully arranged for coverage on BBC R4, BBC R3 and BBC World Service.
