Personal Description:
Hi! I'm a professional musician with 20 years’ playing experience in pop/rock, jazz, classical, funk & soul, musical theatre and more. I have two music degrees - a Masters in jazz bass from the Guildhall School, and a Bachelors in music from Cardiff University, where I studied as a guitarist. I have substantial on-stage and studio experience as a professional bass player in a variety of genres.
Tutoring Experience:
I have 6 years' experience teaching people of all ages, in many styles and areas of music. From 2016 to 2017 I was on the teaching staff at Cardiff's Vale School of Music where all my examined students achieved Distinctions. I now teach at Musicland East in Molesey, Surrey, as well as my own priva**Contact Detail Removed**ssons. I have also taught with London Music Centre. Some of my students have been taking lessons with me for 5+ years.
Tutoring Approach:
As a teacher, I want to create a fun, friendly learning environment, where you can explore your musical interests and make genuine progress. I encourage awareness of all aspects of musicianship whilst catering to the specific needs and musical tastes of the student.
