Information About Harpal - Chelmsford teacher

Personal Description:

I am a professional Drummer based in Chelmsford Essex, with many years of teaching experience with students of all ages and all abilities. I have been studying in London for the past 5 years as well as working as a Drummer on sessions and gigs, in a number of different genres.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching privately for a number of years with a variety of students. I have experience teaching drum grades from different exam boards and have achieved a Licentiate in Music Tuition (awarded by Rockschool). I also have experience working with students without the framework of graded material, whilst still making sure they make progress in all areas of drumming.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to teaching is to work with the student on achieving their goals, all whilst reinforcing and building on certain necessary and beneficial practices, such as:

Stylistic/musical awareness
Technique
Rudimental study
Reading notation
Genre specific playing
Music production

Lessons are delivered in a fun and enjoyable way to ensure the student feels comfortable, and as a teacher I encourage regular practice as well as helping the student explore the different aspects of music and drumming that interest them.

I have a small practice room based in Chelmsford, however I am also happy to travel to anywhere nearby.
