Information About Grai - Coventry teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Grai:
Grai offers a FREE first / introductory lesson!
I have been playing the piano for 15 years and I am Grade 8 certified. I am currently working towards achieving a diploma in Piano Performance and a Grade 8 Music Theory Certification to further support my tuition skills.
Outside of music, I have a wide range of interests, including art, fitness, yoga, cooking, reading, and spirituality.
I have experience delivering one-to-one piano tuition to students aged 5-14, though I accept students above this age range.
I have a vastly eclectic taste in music and believe that no genre holds superiority over another, so I always try to step up to the desires of my students, whether that be Bach cantatas, jazz standards, video game soundtracks, or heavy metal.
I believe that my students should guide the content of their lessons; I will never force a student to learn something they are not interested in. However, I do encourage my students to learn a broad spectrum of music, including music theory, music history, notation, jazz chord comprehension, composition, and performance.
I aim to inspire creativity and a deep connection to music in my students through a range of enjoyable activities, such as composing a piece of music based on a painting or a story. I have sufficient equipment and software to record compositions, should the student wish to do this.
Most importantly, I believe learning the piano should be a fun experience in which the student feels supported by me.
