Re-Awakening… A talented and dynamic professional, I have worked in many areas of corporate communications and Sales & Marketing… After a near death experience in 1995 resulting in facial surgery & complete memory loss, as well as a few broken bones, I travelled to West Africa to seek the help and assistance of Gran-Master Tomas Camara.

After months of Drum Meditation and upon returning from West Africa, I had a great feeling of RE-BIRTH and Iinspiration… and I donated my recent inheritance, after the passing of my Mother, to build a home for Tomas & family and helped to build a Djembe Training Centre in The Gambia. I visited Tomas Camara in The Gambia, West Africa and was taught via the Sousou tribes' system of mastery of the Djembe which is founded in the Djoliba (The Drumming & Dancing Ballet in Guinea Conakry, West Africa)

I am a true Djembefola - which means I make my living - MAKING, TEACHING & PLAYING the Djembe Drum

Tutoring Experience:

I put participants in touch with the origins of modern music with a energetic combination of ROOTS rhythm and my encouraging narrative comprising educational workshop guidance - from Technique tips to historical evidence for methods and ways of playing the Djembe.

Since 1999 I have been demonstrating in Schools, Colleges, Workplaces and Community how this incredible system of Djembe Drumming promotes Health & Well Being. In addition, I am known across the UK for my teaching, playing and dedication to the Djembe, since 1999 in the UK and Europe - teaching an easy and fun way to begin mastering the Djembe

I have done this to ensure that I make available - this incredible sytem and learning experience. It is unlike most Drumming Workshops and is founded on unique ways of learning.

My own approach to teaching this incredible system is founded upon ethics and techniques I have been taught in West Africa and which originates in the Ballet Schools of Guinea Conakry, West Africa.
