Personal Description:

I was classically trained and attended the Royal College of Music Junior department before studying piano performance full time for my Bachelors and Masters degree at the Royal College of Music and the Royal Northern College of Music senior departments respectively. I also received my piano teaching diploma at the Royal College of Music after training there. My native language is English but I am also able to teach in Cantonese fluently.

Tutoring Experience:

Over the years, I have accumulated a lot of teaching experience with all ages as a private teacher and for the last 15 years up until recently, was the music director of a piano studio in Hong Kong that specialised in piano studies specifically. With that role, I was able to gain a lot of experience in training students of all ages, especially in their preparation for exams, performances and competitions and also training and guidance for many of the teachers teaching at the studio.

Tutoring Approach:

I am 100% dedicated and committed to ensuring students are taught the proper way with the correct foundations so that they are able to grasp all the fundamental basics first in order for them to progress with ease and confidence on their musical journey. I believe this is key to helping each student achieve their highest possible potential in their piano playing and will no doubt also help develop patience, perseverance and of course a love for playing music.
