Personal Description:
I am a violist, conductor, and educator originally from New Zealand. I perform regularly as a violist in orchestras and conduct the Cardiff Chamber Orchestra. I am passionate about providing high quality musical education to people of all backgrounds, and of all ages. I believe everyone has the capability to learn how to play and enjoy music.

Tutoring Experience:
I have 10 years of experience in teaching piano, violin, viola, and music theory, from initial through to diploma level, often teaching over 40 students weekly in my home music studio. I am a registered Suzuki Violin teacher, and I have held membership in the Institute of Registered Music Teachers NZ.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to music tuition is encouraging and adaptable, and I value creating supportive structures where students can succeed. Depending on the age and level of the student, there are various method books that I use, which can be supplemented with pieces in genres and styles that interest each student. I have experience with ABRSM, Trinity, and Rock School syllabi, and in adapting teaching style for students with disabilities.
