Personal Description:

I am a 27 year old music lover with a passion for teaching. I have been playing guitar for almost 20 years and teaching it for around 10. I currently work as a sound engineer but am looking to fill up some regular teaching hours around Bristol during the week. I consider myself to be friendly, approachable, calm and patient, whilst also remaining organised, focused and energising. I have a wide range of music tastes spanning almost all the genres as well as a plethora of other hobbies and interests.

Tutoring Experience:

I have experience teaching a wide range of ages and abilities, in both private 1:1 lessons and in group classes. I have taught for charity organisations as well as music schools and am always looking to improve my teaching ability and further my own experience. Although I have more experience in teaching mainstream rock & pop, I am open to teach whatever students wish to learn and am always excited about getting into a mixture of styles.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to teaching centres on igniting passion in the student; I find it much easier to teach someone who is inspired and enjoying themselves and so decide to focus on finding what excites them and helping them to achieve their own goals instead of pushing my own onto them. I consider the needs of each individual student and try to tailor my lessons towards a course that suits them, teaching playing styles and additional knowledge that will be relevant to their own interests and tastes.
