Information About George - Bourne teacher

Personal Description:

I am a French Horn and Tenor Horn specialist. I have played in Championship level Brass Banding in the UK for over 40 years and currently approaching 10 years as Solo Horn with Desford Colliery Band.
I have been playing French Horn in Cambridge for 13 years and I am currently principal Horn with the City of Cambridge Symphony Orchestra.
I have played for Foden's, Fairies, Black Dyke, Grimthorpe Colliery, Point of Ayr, Sellars, Ransomes Brass Bands.
I am a founder member of the Yamaha Neo Brass Group, playing exclusively o Yamaha Neo models.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been coaching and teaching brass for over 10 years. By using my vast playing experience, I can give sound advice on all facets of playing a brass instrument. From the absolute beginner to an advanced student wishing to study at Music College.
I follow up all lessons with a note on progression, practice studies and any reminders.

Tutoring Approach:

Understanding what the pupil wants to achieve is critical, it could be help on a particular piece of music, or to increase their range. The first lesson will be to see what the student requires and what are their goals. I work face to face or on line, which ever suits. Teaching face to face is my preferred method as playing together in duet form is highly productive.
