Personal Description:
Gabrielle is a professional composer, orchestrator, pianist and children's author. She is based in Wiltshire, within easy reach of Corsham, Chippenham, Bath and Bristol.
Gabrielle's musical journey started with learning piano at the age of 5. She was taught the Suzuki method, which promotes learning by ear and developing musicianship aurally. This sparked Gabrielle’s interest in improvisation and by the age of 11, she was studying as a junior exhibitioner at the Royal College of Music in London as a composer, pianist, bassoonist and singer.
Gabrielle studied composition at Trinity College of Music, Goldsmiths College and achieved a Master's in Composition for Film from the Royal College of Music in 2012. There she studied with the Clifton Parker Scholarship and specialised in orchestration and conducting.
Her composition portfolio includes a diverse range of original concert works and scores for film, documentaries, animations, advertising and audiobooks. Gabrielle has assisted composers and musical directors, working with some of the most prestigious orchestras, choirs, and ensembles in the UK's top recording studios, theatres, and concert halls.
Gabrielle has performed on piano, bassoon and voice in acclaimed music venues. She has performed as a solo artist, in symphony orchestras and choirs, including the New London Singers.
