Personal Description:
I have been playing with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra as co-principal cellist.
As a scholar, I obtained both my Bachelor and Masters of Music from Guildhall school of Music with Distinctions under Louise Hopkins and Rebecca Gilliver (London Symphony Orchestra’s cello principal).
I made my concerto debut at Wells Cathedral, performing Haydn cello concerto in C at the age of 18. A few more highlight performances were when I was invited to perform solo with the Bath Bach Choir at the Bath Abbey, performing to the Hong Kong Chief of Executive in Paris and invited to be guest principal at the Hong Kong Cultural centre.
I am fluent in Chinese (mandarin and Cantonese) and English.
Tutoring Experience:
I have students in both London and Hong Kong with a range of ages and abilities. I love teaching and aim to inspire and motivate my students to a higher level of music playing.
I am also experienced in ABRSM exams. Most of my students have obtained Distinctions and Merits in their ABRSM exams
Tutoring Approach:
I enjoy teaching students of all levels. Lessons are tailored to suit individual’s need.
