Information About Francesca - Haringey teacher

Personal Description:

I have been singing for as long as I can remember - I started singing at a church choir as a child, and I was trained by private classical and modern voice coaches. I attended private bel canto lessons for 6 years (Bel Canto technique); the last year of my training, my coach taught me how to teach.

I am also a qualified Audio Engineer and I use my skills to record my students. I have a published a solo album. I am currently freelancing as an audio engineer and as a singer.

I strongly believe in the healing potential of singing. I also believe that everybody with a voice can sing.

Tutoring Experience:

One-to-one tutoring for 2+ years (presencial)

I went half way through a PGCE course and taught in Secondary Education in the UK.

I have worked as a Teaching Assistant in the UK.

Tutoring Approach:

My teaching approach comes from Bel Canto, with a modern twist. I tell my students that voice training is like a voice gym: you have to keep on training, and be consistent if you want to hear the progress! That said, I encourage patience and kindness to oneself at all times.

As an audio engineer, I offer my students the opportunity to record themselves. I create professionally sounding background tracks for them to sing to and I mix their vocals into the tracks, if that is something that they want.
