Information About Fiona - Norwich teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Fiona:
I won a scholarship to attend the Guildhall School of Music, one of Europe's leading conservatoires, at the age of 16, graduating with Honours in Performance and returned there to teach in 1999, where I currently takes the string training programme. I am a former leader of the Norfolk Youth Orchestra, the Norwich Pops Orchestra, Norwich Philharmonic and current leader of the Mozart Orchestra.
I teach at the Guildhall School of Music, taking the string training programme. I have been a peripatetic teacher for many years, teaching in a range of schools in the public and private sectors alongside my own private practice.
Teaching is a real pleasure for me - I value dynamic and progressive teaching methods, encouraging pupils to play with confidence and imagination. I am particularly keen to encourage mature students interested in returning to practice. Based in the Golden Triangle area of Norwich, I enjoy teaching pupils of all ages and abilities. I am also experienced at organising and performing for weddings and events, arranging programmes as a soloist, or part of a duet, trio or quartet depending on the requirements of the occasion; she is skilled at planning the ideal repertoire for any function. I am also trained in the use of Neuro-Linguistic Programming techniques which I find can help with the learning process.
