Personal Description:
A Degree Qualified Teacher of Piano, Electronic Keyboard, Violin and Flute, I qualified with a Degree in Music from the University of Manchester & also hold the City & Guilds 7306 Certificate ofTeaching in Further Education.
Lessons are planned to meet the needs of the individual student. Theory of Music is taught & can be integrated into the lesson or taught as a separate subject.
Students may take ABRSM or LCM exams and all Grades from I to 8 are offered.
My track record for exam passes is 100%, with candidates usually gaining merits or distinctions.
Experienced Accompanist for all grades & all instruments.
Tutoring Experience:
My teaching experience includes Peripatetic Visiting Teacher of Piano & Strings in many Independent & State Schools in Cheshire & Shropshire, acting as Accompanist for all Grades 1 to 8 and all instruments.
Currently I also run a successful Private Teaching Practice.
Tutoring Approach:
Genres taught: contemporary, jazz, classical. My approach is to be flexible & suit the needs of the individual student.
