Personal Description:
A life-long teacher, I have a DipABRSM in Vocal Teaching as well as extensive experience teaching music and performing arts. Coming from a background in theatre, I use acting techniques to help enhance students' musical performance, while also supporting good technical development.
Tutoring Experience:
I'm experienced at working with a wide range of ages and abilities, with a good exam record in practical and theory.
Tutoring Approach:
I use a wide range of different techniques to suit the learning style of each student, drawing on Kodaly musicianship, bel canto vocal techniques, and theatrical exercises to name just a few. Music literacy is included as part of all lessons, or can be tutored separately.
