Personal Description:
I am an MA Music graduate from Cardiff University, based in Bristol. I am a Grade 8 pianist with eight years of experience both teaching piano and accompanying performances and exams.
Tutoring Experience:
I have taught piano to children and adults, with one of my pupils most recently receiving a merit in his Grade 3 exam. I also volunteered at a music therapy group for adults with disabilities and additional needs for two years whilst at university.
Tutoring Approach:
I am a kind, friendly and patient teacher who believes that instrumental lessons should be fun, enjoyable and rewarding. I take time to prepare my lessons and keep a record of what went well each week, and which scales, pieces or theoretical topics need to be revisited in the next session.This allows me to monitor progress and ensure my pupils are on track if they choose to take grades.
