Personal Description:

Emma is an inspiring, qualified Music Tutor whose classes are inspiring, creative and enjoyable! She adapts each class to the individual’s needs, may that be for exam preparation or the students pleasure and enjoyment of learning an instrument. She teaches the Flute and Piano and is a qualified teacher with several years experience of teaching to adults (all levels including adults returning to an instrument) and children of all ages. Emma ensures that all students achieve their goals and aspirations. Teaching face-to-face and online!

Tutoring Experience:

Emma is a qualified teacher (PGCE) and has successful experience of teaching ABRSM and Trinity examinations, alongside teaching many classes for the enjoyment and pleasure of playing a musical instrument.

Emma is a creative and inspiring teacher, whose lessons are student-led. Lessons and courses cater for the array of individual needs and aspirations, whether that be returning to an instrument, starting your musical journey or achieving successful results in examinations.

I really loved that Emma always took my personality and my current interest into consoderation when she chose a music piece for me and taught me music theory while playing so it was not boring or heavy going! I would always recommend Emma to everyone, you will love your piano classes with her.

From Kate (5/5): Emma has been brilliant. She's really tailored the classes to what I've wanted and needed (as an adult going back to music lessons) and they've been great fun. If I just wanted to play some duets, she's been happy to do so and has set me interesting exercises and pieces to practise. Unfortunately, life has got in the way just now and I haven't played for a few months, but when I pick the flute up again, I'll be in touch with Emma to continue my lessons.

We always looked forward to Emma coming (or appearing on-line during lockdown) and we were very sorry when Emma had to leave the district and we had to find another flute teacher.
