Personal Description:
I have taught the flute for 40 years and also been a professional flautist. I was a member of the Orchestra of the Welsh National Opera for 13 years until 200, and have freelanced with BBCNOW and CBSO for the last 24 years. I have been a dedicated flute teacher through that time and have done a fair amount of piano teaching also.
Tutoring Experience:
I have taught at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama since 2000 and also at Cardiff University and formerly at the University of Bristol.
Tutoring Approach:
I have always enjoyed the interaction between student and teacher and very much enjoy encouraging and helping the student to relish and enjoy the challenge of learning an instrument. My approach to teaching would be different for every single student, we are all different and learn in many different ways.
