Personal Description:
Hi!
I am a friendly, encouraging teacher with lots of experience with beginner and intermediate pupils. I trained in Violin (RCME Grade 8) and music theory (RCME Grade 2) in Canada. I have a BA in theatre, and I love to explore storytelling and emotional expression through music.
I am teaching online and in person in Glasgow.
Tutoring Experience:
I have several years experience teaching in schools and teaching group and 1:1 violin lessons. I have taught students of all ages and abilities, as young as 4 years old. I also have significant experience teaching students with ADHD and autism who need extra support in learning.
Tutoring Approach:
I aim to provide lessons that are fun - I want you to love the violin! We will be learning music theory as we go, so you can better understand what you're playing.
We will focus on listening skills, reading music, improvising, as well as technical and musicianship skills required to play the violin.
