Personal Description:

Hi, I'm Eimear – a friendly and experienced music tutor offering flute and piano lessons for all ages and abilities. I create a relaxed, encouraging environment where students can build confidence, develop strong technique, and enjoy learning music at their own pace. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to progress further, I tailor each lesson to suit your goals. I'm also training as a music therapist at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, which brings a deeper, more holistic approach to my teaching.

Tutoring Experience:

I began teaching in 2015 when I covered a maternity leave position and quickly discovered a passion for sharing music with others. Since then, I’ve built my own student base and have taught flute, piano, and music theory to learners of all ages and levels. I take pride in creating a supportive, flexible learning environment tailored to each student’s goals - whether that’s learning for enjoyment or working towards exams. I have a 100% pass rate for all students entered into graded exams.

My teaching approach is all about striking the right balance between enjoyment and progress. I aim to make lessons fun, engaging, and encouraging so that students feel confident and motivated, while also maintaining clear goals to help them develop strong musical skills. Whether we’re working towards an exam or just exploring music for fun, I encourage focus, good practice habits, and a genuine connection to the music. I want every student to enjoy their lessons while also feeling a real sense of achievement as they grow.
