Information About Edward - Newcastle teacher

Personal Description:

I am a Newcastle based guitar tutor located in the Jesmond area of the city. My office is within 10 minutes walking distance from the city centre and is also located 2 minutes walk from the Jesmond Metro. I love teaching guitar and music is my passion and lifes work. I have a deep knowledge of guitar and I want to share it with you - the pupil. In terms of styles I can cover everything from Rock and Metal, Pop and Jazz and Country through to Finger Style. I am happy to learn any song you want but I can also guide you into areas you perhaps don't expect!

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught guitar for over 20 years and a I have a wide range of experience in the Newcastle area from One to One tuition, Rock Schools, Band Workshops, Musicals, Teaching in Schools and playing with various bands over the last 25 years. In this time I have recorded 7 albums, performed sessions for local radio and Radio 1 and I have also toured the UK exstensivley. I have also worked for the internationally renowned Sage Gateshead as a Project Muisican as well as tuition for the International Guitar Foundation. I am a member of the Registry of Guitar Tutors, the Musicans Union, the MCPS and the PRS.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tuition is simple: I gear each lesson to the pupils needs and I go at a pace that is suitable for them. I teach all ages from 7 right through to 70 and beyond. I also offer a course of grades via the The Registry of Guitar Tutors from 1 - 8 and I have a 100% pass rate on these with 50% of all entrants achievieving a Distinction. I have a full CRB check from my work with schools which can be presented upon request.
