Information About Edward - Lewisham teacher
This is how 3 referees rated Edward:
I am a dedicated, enthusiastic musician, studying in my final year at Goldsmiths university of London. I have been playing music since the age of 4, and have achieved a diploma in clarinet, and grade 8 in both piano and trombone. I have performed with several different orchestras, including Goldsmiths symphony orchestra and East London symphony orchestra, and after winning a university concerto competition I will be performing a Jazz concerto with a full symphony.
I have taught students from age 5-55. I have primarily taught piano, and a few students on clarinet, but I am willing and capable to teach trombone, and the theory of music.
Each student is different, and I do my best to find the most valuable approach to take. This can be developing aural skills, and focussing on using the ears to perform the pieces. Or, it can be on the opposite end, where we would learn the theory behind the sheet music and work from there. Most students find a balance in between, and I always aim to find the most affective way to teach. I have found success in offering half price for the first lesson, and also offering 10 lessons for £250, as it gives the student the motivation to push through the hard beginners phase!
