Personal Description:

I have been playing the bagpipes for over 25+ years and currently compete with Manchester Phoenix Pipe Band (2016 All England Champions)

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching the bagpipes at the Army Foundation College in Harrogate to junior soldiers since 2010. I have also taught a number of students privately at home and several have gone on to play in pipe bands.

Tutoring Approach:

I teach the basic fundamentals on the practice chanter. Once the student has mastered those fundamentals and is able to play a couple of tunes adequately I then get them started on a full set of bagpipes.
