I began my piano studies at the age of 5 in China. I have a BA in music, and a teacher qualification certificate from the Northeast Normal University in China.
I came to London to study for my Mmus in Music Performance and Related studies at Goldsmiths College, University of London under Andrew Zolinsky (RCM) and Alexander Ivashkin.
After my masters I started my Artist Diploma at Trinity Laban Conservatoire under Hilary Coates. I later studied privately with Ian Jones the deputy head of The Royal College of Music.
I am an experienced professional pianist and teacher. I have extensive performance and teaching experience which I can pass onto my students. I have taught in both China and the U.K. I teach all levels from beginner to advanced. I work closely with my students in a professional manner and aim to build a solid, technical and theoretical foundation.
I prepare students for ABRSM and Trinity College grades exams. I also prepare students for auditions and performances.
I currently teach for Bexley music and privately.
I am a ballet accompanist for Bird College - Conservatoire for Dance and Musical Theatre.
I work with students of all ages and abilities. I tailor my lessons for each individual student and try to strike a balance between technique and theoretical knowledge. I try to make sure lessons are engaging and fun. I have been greatly inspired by my teachers and it a pleasure to pass on their knowledge to my students. Overall I aim to develop well rounded, confident and expressive musicians that are able to achieve their goals.
