Information About Dorottya - Worthing teacher

Personal Description:

My name is Dorottya, and I am a professional active concert cellist and excellent & creative tutor. I am the principal cellist in two symphony orchestras and regularly perform as a soloist (recently Elgar Cello Concerto in Devizes) or as a chamber musician in our Fulltone String Quartet by Staright Series. I play on Candlelight Concerts and Symphonic Ibiza shows all over the UK and Lumos Live concert as part of the string trio. You can also find me in different Musical Theatres (Theatre Royal Bath, The Capitol, Medina, Bristol Institute of Performing Arts etc.) and on wedding such as ceremonies, drinks receptions (classical, pop and bollywood) and corporate events. I have a wide range of Pop and Bollywood songs on my repertoire.

Tutoring Experience:

As a cellist I have a Masters Degree of Liszt Academy of Music, Music Theory Gr.5, ABRSM Performance Diploma.
I am more than happy to take on some students who are keen to learn the most beautiful instrument, the Cello! It will be an exciting and wonderful journey, I can promise that! we gonna have lots of fun while you are learning, I am friendly, creative, helpful, enthusiastic and love to play together with the students some chamber music too.
I can teach you online or in person. As being trained in Budapest (Hungary), I am able to explain the Kodaly system to help understand more (and makes life easier) the Music Theory too. (No, we cannot skip music theory!) I am familiar with the Suzuki method as well and able to use this technique in my teaching.

Tutoring Approach:

I started to play the cello at the age of 8, and the passion for this instrument has never changed. I would love to give my knowledge of this beautiful instrument to my students. It doesn't matter you have never tried or just got frustrated of other music teachers. I will make sure that you gonna achieve the results you want.
