Information About Dominic - Stockport teacher

Personal Description:

I am a self-taught musician, mainly playing guitar, but I do have a keyboard and bouzouki in my collection. When I started learning at aged 18 I just wanted to play along to my favourite songs, but since then I have gone on to play professionally in various bands (Folk, Country and Irish).

I am a patient person and work with people who are experiencing mental health difficulties, so I am used to providing support to people in various capacities.

Tutoring Experience:

I have casually taught guitar to other musicians playing across Manchester's entertainment scene (and my younger cousins).

Other experience outside of music:

Coaching football in the USA to ages 4-16

Working with young people 1:1 with mental health difficulties within my role as an assistant psychologist.

Teaching assistant for kids in year 5 (uk).

Tutoring Approach:

Book with me if you want to learn how to play without having to get your head around theory.

I am a laid back guy who will teach at the pace the learner wants to go at. I have multiple options on what lessons to teach i.e. learning scales, chords et… but if the learner just wants to know how to play a couple of their favourite songs I can tailor lessons to that. I will teach in collaboration with the learner.
