Personal Description:

I have been playing the piano since I was six years old and have been teaching piano for nearly 20 years. At the age of fourteen, I was admitted to The National School of Music and Performing Arts "Christina Morfova " in Stara Zagora - Bulgaria where I studied for six years.

I have a degree in Piano Performance from Music Acadamy "Pancho Vladigerov" - Sofia, Bulgaria and have given many recitals and concerts throughout the years, playing with various instrumentalists and singers.

I started my business Diyana Piano Studio in 2008 -providing piano and theory lessons to children and adults in Witney , Eynsahm and Oxford.

Tutoring Experience:

I welcome students from all ages, levels and abilities; from beginners to advanced. Lessons usually takes place at my home in Witney on a Yamaha U3 upright piano.
I have experience teaching the exam syllabuses of the ABRSM and Trinity/Guildhall and have had successes all the way through to Grade 8 and beyond.

Tutoring Approach:

Learning to play an instrument is a long process whether you want to learn for fun or take exams - a level of commitment is required

Students are encouraged to perform as much as possible. My intention is to hold one concert at the end of June/beginning of July . There are also local festivals such as Oxford, Chipping Norton and Abingdon Music Festivals , where students are encouraged to take part.

I am also happy to help more advanced students prepare for a Diploma or just to broaden their repertoire ,learn new techniques and develope their skills.
