Personal Description:
My name is David , I have been teaching piano for 21+ years and have graduated from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, with a BMus (Hons) in piano performance. My main teachers are the famous pianists Philip Martin, Katya Apekisheva and Irena-Pryma-Percy. I travel within 15 miles of Worcester, or alternatively you can have lessons in at my home in St Peters area.
You are welcome to a complimentary trial lesson, please message me if you wish to discuss any more details.
Tutoring Experience:
21+ years, privately, in primary schools, high schools, through the county council and Yamaha. Cover all performance grades including diplomas, all exam boards, preparation for concerts, exams and music school auditions.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tuition is very flexible, according to the students specific needs. I cover all boards of examinations including ABRSM, Trinity and LCM up to grade 8 and ABRSM Diploma and Licentiate (LRSM) levels. My teaching incorporates all necessary skills for musicianship including theory, aural, improvisation, composition, repertoire, history of the piano and composers. I believe that piano study should be a very enjoyable experience, to explore the world of music and everything the piano repertoire has to offer. On the other hand if you just want to learn on a casual basis, just some songs to learn and play then please do not hesitate to get in touch, I cater for all needs professional and amateur.
