Personal Description:

I have both a Masters Degree and Bachelor of Music in contemporary music and performance, along with 17 years teaching and gigging experience.

I have written and arranged music for various guitar books and I have edited and arranged music for, amongst others, Metallica, Joni Mitchell, Coldplay, Bob Dylan, The Beatles and Guns N' Roses. I have also recently presented various tuition dvds, and worked on scoring guitar music for iphone apps. I gig regularly around London and abroad and I'm the lead guitarist with Love Amongst Ruin working alongside former members of The Cure and Placebo.

Peripatetic guitar teacher at Ewell Castle and Royal Docks schools and former guitar tutor for Tower Hamlets Arts and Music Service.

Co-presenter and guitar tutor on the successful 10-Minute Teacher Instructional Guitar DVD series.

Private guitar tutor for ten years teaching a number of different styles to students of a wide range
of abilities.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that learning music should be fun and I therefore aim to tailor each lesson to individual needs whether its learning certain songs or genres or specific techniques.

I design my lessons to encourage creativity and self-expression along with confidence and strong understanding of the instrument.
