Information About David - Didcot teacher
This is how 2 referees rated David:
Hello! I'm an enthusiastic teacher from Abingdon, getting to grips with my postgraduate degree at the Royal Academy of Music (London) having graduated from Cambridge in 2014. I currently teach at Matrix Music School in Sutton Courtenay, Oxfordshire on weekends, and I am also looking forward to increasing my roster of pupils during the week as I begin my studies in London.
Perhaps my classiest moments as a clarinettist so far were the three BBC Proms concerts I performed in as a member of the National Youth Orchestra. As a pianist I am regularly in business as an accompanist.
I've been teaching privately since I graduated in 2014 and I am now based at Matrix Music School in the very fine village of Sutton Courtenay, Oxfordshire. (During the week, I am happy to travel to you if you are based in London.)
I teach music because I am passionate about it, and want to share my passion. So my foremost hope is that my lessons are always enjoyable (which comes from a good balance of achievable and challenging tasks). I am a big fan of Paul Harris' Simultaneous Learning method, which is about cultivating the whole musician and using findings from research to ensure that the way things are taught achieves real understanding and satisfying progress.
