Information About Dave - Nottingham teacher

Personal Description:

I have almost twenty years of playing experience and have performed around the country in various guises and using various instruments. I have performed as regular member of a medieval musical re-enactment group, a team of alternative morris men and as a member of a successful folk rock band. I also regularly appear as a street musician in Nottingham and elsewhere, often with my dancing puppet, Nancy.

Tutoring Experience:

I have worked for the past three years teaching music, dance, reading etc. at a day centre for adults with learning disabilities. I also provide talks on folklore and custom (including live musical illustrations) to various historical societies and other organisations.

Tutoring Approach:

I have a relaxed and easy going approach to tuition. Music is, primarily a source of enjoyment and something that is best shared with others. It should, primarily, be about having fun and developing a skill for its own sake. I bring all of this to my approach to tuition.
